Cubs meet on a Monday Evening, 18:30-20:00.
The Cub Pack is the second section of the Scouting Family, for young people aged between 8 years - 10 1/2 years old. Younger children from Beavers will link with the Cub pack, then be invested into the pack.
Cubs programme is based around excitment and adventure. There are a huge variety of activities they take part in, from abseiling to zorbing, and everything in between! Cubs also explore key areas such as fitness, global and beliefs. These are explored through creative skills and local involvment in the community.
Cubs also take part in residential trips away to campsites, where they take part in activities to learn outdoor skills and take part in real adventures.
The Cub Pack is organised into small groups called Sixes, each headed up by an older Cub called a Sixer, and often with a Seconder as well.
Participation and personal development, rather than meeting set standards, is the key approach, and there are a range of badges and challenge awards that Cub Scouts can gain to recognise their achievements.
